POMAA Adds New Resources for Its Members
June 15, 2010
Dallastown, PA - June 15, 2010
POMAA along with help from members such as Rebecca Baker, CPM has created a hospital physician owned practice resource area to its member's only resource area of their website.
The member's only area of POMAA's website has many resources already available to its members, however they felt that it was time to reach out to hospital owned physician practices as well as privately owned practices. The purpose of the newly created area of the website is to be able to sort of compare notes with what privately owned practices and hospital owned practices are providing to their employees and their patients. The hospital forms are especially helpful for privately owned small to mid-sized practices because we know the hospital will use legal forms whereas the smaller to mid-sized practices may not have access to an attorney to approve certain forms such as: human resource and patient related forms.
As we move forward into a new era with the way we practice medicine and how we manage employees especially in relation to healthcare reform, practices need to be sure they are compliant in every possible way. Having access to forms of this nature help to make privately owned practices feel more secure in knowing what they are doing is right, even if the manager of that practice only compares their form with a hospital owned form. "It's a type of check and balance system, stated Desiree Baylin, POMAA's Executive Director. All we really want to do is ensure that every manager that is a member of POMAA is compliant and doing the best job that they can possibly do to manage their practices efficiently and effectively."
The new section of POMAA's website has just begun its building stages, which will be a continuing project as new forms continue to be added. As always, POMAA encourages its members to login to the member's only area of the website frequently as new forms are added often. They also have a 24/7 listserv where members may share forms by attaching them to their emails as they are sent, which is fully protected from any types of viruses.
